Dr Adam Braithwaithe
Dr. Adam Braithwaite enjoys consulting all aspects of general practice from his usual practice at The Chadstone. He is also a General Practitioner with special interest in diabetes working at Alfred Health in Melbourne. He holds an appointment with Monash University as a clinical educator and examiner, and is a RACGP Victorian faculty council member. Prior to graduation he was president of the Monash University Medical Undergraduate Society. He is passionate about medicine as a career and is excited to be co-convenor of the MedSummit program.
Dr Ray Boyapati
Dr. Ray Boyapati is a gastroenterologist at Monash Health specialising in inflammatory bowel disease and senior lecturer at Monash University. He is the co-founder of MedEntry and is a key opinion leader in UCAT preparation. Ray is heavily involved in patient advocacy through the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) via roles on the FAR, GENIUS and IBD Executive committees and is the Chair-elect of the IBD Faculty.
Dr Ryan Spencer
Dr. Ryan Spencer is a cardiologist practicing at University Hospital Geelong, The Epworth Hospital, and throughout Western Victoria. He holds a Masters in Health Professional Education and is a senior lecturer at Deakin University, where he focuses on medical student education. Ryan has published in major international journals, including research on rural student pathways into medicine. Growing up in Central Victoria, he is passionate about supporting aspiring medical students and understands firsthand the importance of strong entrance exam preparation.
Dr Ann Deely
Dr. Ann Deely is a dermatologist at Alfred Health and Monash Health, where she is actively involved in teaching and supervising trainee dermatologists. She studied medicine at Monash University on a Scholarship for Excellence and was awarded the prestigious Sir John Monash Scholarship for Distinction as the top incoming student of her year. After completing her dermatology training, Ann spent five years working in Ireland before returning to Melbourne. She brings valuable insights into the medical school application process, having been accepted into all medical schools she applied to.
Dr Jason Lam
Dr. Jason Lam is a sports and exercise medicine doctor with a unique background as a former professional dancer with Sydney Dance Company, Tasdance and Opera Australia. He studied medicine at Flinders University and completed training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Dermatology before pursuing General Practice. Jason holds a Masters in Sports Medicine and has worked as team doctor for numerous sporting teams and at the Commonwealth Games. His unconventional path from performing artist to physician demonstrates the diverse routes into medicine and the value of life experience before medical school.
Dr Siobhan McGuinness
Dr. Siobhan McGuinness is a specialist anaesthetist and Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. With over 16 years of experience in perioperative patient care, she provides anaesthesia care across a range of surgical procedures. Siobhan is committed to delivering safe, personalised care to her patients and brings extensive clinical expertise to the MedSummit team. Her depth of experience offers valuable insights into specialist training pathways for aspiring medical students.
A/Prof Sina Babazadeh
A/Prof Sina Babazadeh is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip, knee and wrist surgery. He has a strong passion for research, leadership and mentorship, and founded Surgical Mentor to support aspiring surgeons and medical students. Sina is dedicated to helping the next generation of medical professionals navigate their career pathways. Outside of surgery, he enjoys travelling, reading and sharing the occasional bad pun.
Dr Lara Freeman
Dr. Lara Freeman is a specialist Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive techniques for bariatric and general surgery. She graduated with honours from Monash University in 2006 and completed her specialist surgical training at The Alfred Hospital. Lara received the Young Investigators Award for outstanding research at the 2010 Australian National Bariatric Meeting. Her experience training at leading Melbourne teaching hospitals provides valuable perspectives for students interested in surgical careers.
A/Prof Vikram Palit
A/Prof Vikram Palit is an Associate Professor at the ANU College of Health and Medicine and a practising paediatric respiratory physician. He has held senior leadership roles across academia, clinical medicine and health services in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Vikram is passionate about integrating technology into healthcare to deliver better patient outcomes through his work with Consultmed. His career demonstrates the intersection of clinical practice, academic medicine and healthcare innovation, showing students the breadth of opportunities within paediatric specialties.
Dr Daniel Foley
Dr. Daniel Foley is a specialist surgeon practicing in Upper GI, Bariatric and General Surgery, with accreditation as an endoscopist. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008 and completed his specialist training through the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, serving as Principal Surgical Registrar at The Alfred Hospital. Daniel undertook subspecialist training in Upper GI surgery at Monash Hospital and at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London. He has specialist interests in oesophageal and gastric cancer, weight loss surgery, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and gallstones.
Dr Anitha Thalluri
Dr. Anitha Thalluri is a radiologist at Benson Radiology with specialist interests in women's health, pelvic imaging and breast imaging. She completed her radiology training at the University of Adelaide before undertaking an advanced observership in Breast and Gynaecology Oncology imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. Anitha brings expertise in general radiology alongside her subspecialty areas. Her international training experience offers students insights into diverse career pathways within diagnostic medicine.
Dr Jordan Hawkins
Dr. Jordan Hawkins is a dentist who graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne. He is passionate about preventative care and oral health education, focusing on empowering patients to take control of their dental health. Jordan has been part of his Camberwell practice for over 15 years, both as a patient and practitioner. His approach to patient care emphasizes building strong relationships and creating comfortable experiences, demonstrating the compassionate side of healthcare that extends beyond medicine into allied health fields.
Dr Sarah Arachchi
Dr. Sarah Arachchi is a general paediatrician working in both public and private practice. She graduated from Monash University with Honours in 2008 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. Sarah chairs AMA Victoria's Women in Medicine group and co-convenes RACP educational sessions (VicFEAT), demonstrating strong commitment to medical education and advocacy. She has written extensively about her experiences in medicine, offering valuable perspectives on navigating a medical career and balancing clinical practice with leadership roles.
A/Prof Avik Majumdar
A/Prof Avik Majumdar is a transplant hepatologist at Austin Health and clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne. His clinical and research interests focus on metabolic associated fatty liver disease, including biomarker discovery and risk stratification models. Avik's work extends to the implications of liver disease for transplantation and liver cancer management. His dual focus on patient care and cutting-edge research exemplifies the diverse opportunities available within specialist medicine.
Dr Yash Patwardhan
Dr. Yash Patwardhan is a recent Monash medical graduate who completed his degree with High Distinction. During his studies, he served as President of the Monash Medical Undergraduate Society (MUMUS) and was a Board Member of the Medical Course, demonstrating strong leadership in medical education. Yash was awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship, the MUMUS President Award, and the Monash Medical Alumni Prize. As someone who recently navigated the medical school journey, he brings current insights and relatable perspectives to students preparing for their own applications.

Dr Amlan Chowdhury
Dr Amlan Chowdhury is an Australian-trained medical doctor. After graduating from medical school in 2025, Amlan also works as a Casual Academic at Flinders University, supporting medical students in their clinical and academic development. Amlan completed his secondary education with a 99+ ATAR and received multiple offers into medicine and dentistry. He is passionate about medical education and works with MedEntry as a content creator, developing medical school entry resources for students. He has led workshops and events across Australia, helping students build confidence and skills needed to succeed in competitive medical school entry pathways.

Kate
Kate is a final year medical student and UCAT tutor from Melbourne. Since graduating in 2020 with a 99.90 ATAR and 99th percentile UCAT, she has worked with many high school students to help them strive for their dream course. In her spare time, she loves hiking and travelling, with her most recent trip being to South America!
Abby
Abby is a current undergraduate medicine student at Monash University, having achieved an ATAR of 99.90 and a UCAT score of 3160. She works as an interview and UCAT mentor with MedEntry and tutors VCE English and Maths. Abby volunteers with Flying Fox, an organisation supporting individuals with disability. Outside her studies, she enjoys swimming, the outdoors, and musical theatre.
Will
Will is a medicine student at the University of Adelaide, having achieved a UCAT score of 3220 and an ATAR of 99.75. He has extensive tutoring experience with medical applicants for UCAT preparation and school subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Will writes MedEntry's weekly newsletter, providing insights and strategies for UCAT candidates. In his spare time, he enjoys the gym, reading, and walking his dog.
Carolyn
Carolyn is a medicine student at UNSW, having achieved the highest UCAT score worldwide in 2024 with 3550, along with an ATAR of 99.80. She is a gold medallist from the International Earth Science Olympiad in Beijing. Carolyn brings exceptional academic achievement and proven test-taking strategies to help students excel in their medical school applications.
Shin Yi
Shin Yi is a current medical student with a perfect interview success rate, receiving offers from all five medical and dental universities she interviewed for. She achieved a UCAT score of 3240, improving from 2500 in just five months through targeted strategies and time management techniques. As a former school captain and state debater, Shin Yi brings strong public speaking skills and experience coaching students for MMI interviews. She specializes in helping students develop critical thinking under pressure, structure effective responses, and optimize their UCAT performance across all subtests.
Sebastian
Sebastian is currently studying medicine at UNSW Port Macquarie medical school after graduating high school in 2024. As a MedEntry interview tutor and mock interviewer, he's passionate about helping aspiring medical students navigate the UCAT, ATAR, and interview process. When he's not studying, you'll find him running, enjoying the beach, or playing piano.
Alexander
Alexander is a UNSW Medicine student heading into his third year. He achieved a 99.8 ATAR and a UCAT score of 3180 (97th percentile). Outside of uni, a few of his hobbies include going to the gym, playing almost every sport, reading, and listening to music on peaceful walks.
Balaji
Balaji is a 5th year medical student at Western Sydney University. He graduated from Baulkham Hills High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 98.80, and completed his UCAT in 2021 with a 99th percentile score. He enjoys running, listening to music and basketball.
Senalee
Senalee is entering her third year of medical school at The University of Queensland. She completed Year 12 in Melbourne in 2020, achieving the 97th percentile on the UCAT. Over the past four years, she has worked with Medentry as a mock interviewer and contributed to creating practice UCAT questions. Additionally, she is a private tutor for Year 12 students. In her spare time, you will see Senalee volunteering at the Queensland Children's Hospital, training for a half marathon with her friends, or in her ballet shoes, doing a pirouette or two!
Dr Shabnam Mohamad Shafiq
Shabnam is a previous MedSummit mentor from the University of Notre Dame Australia. Shabnam has been tutoring in the medical admissions space for over four years and loves helping students out in the tough journey to medicine. Outside university, Shabnam loves astronomy, cooking, baking, reading, writing, hiking and volunteering. She is also heavily invested in medical research, education and entrepreneurship.
Ben
Ben is currently in his fourth year of Medicine at Monash University. He graduated high school in 2022 with an ATAR of 99.4 and a UCAT score of 3090. In his spare time, Ben is a tennis coach along with a VCE mathematics and Latin tutor as well as a UCAT mentor. His passions outside of his studies include golf, travelling and spending time with his family and friends.
